Are you ready for the heat?

March 5th, 2009

February is over, and before you know it march will be too.   Which means you air conditioner will be starting up again soon.  Have you signed up for a maintenance agreement?  or have you had an  a/c clean and check performed?  the benefits of having a maintenance agreement seem to have no end.  Here is a story of a recent customer calling for a service on her furnace.  The call was for no heat, so i dispatched a service tech who on arrival found the humidifier drain overflowing onto the top of the furnce which in turn the water was leaking through a screw hole down on top of the inducer motor, which then kept traveling to the top of the mother board, killing bith the motor and the board.  A service call that when all said and done, totaled over $1000.00!  Now if she had signed up for a maintenance agreement IE Cool Club Membership, when the furnace started up we would have seen the leaky drain, fixed the drain, and replaced the humidifier pad for a grand total cool club membership included of $280.00 it would have saved her over $800.00 and thats in one call. Now granted this doesn’t happen very often, but wouldn’t be nice to know your furnace or A/C is safe, working at peak efficiency, keeping up with the original warranty if still there?  And if something does go wrong you get front of the line service, a discount on service, and possible lower utility costs.  Like i said there are few reasons to not sign up.  So look into it and decide for yourselves and when your ready give us a call.  Just remember the season is upon us, the heat is coming and were already breaking heat records so lets get all those air conditioners ready for those triple didgits.
